mAh stands for milliamp hours—basically, how much "fuel" your battery can hold. A higher or lower mAh than your original battery? No worries! 🙌 It won’t affect charging or operation—just means your device might run a bit longer or shorter between charges. Still 100% compatible. Still 100% awesome. 💪✨

How to Look after your new lithium battery!!

Important Information on Cameron Sino Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Batteries

Provided by Canadianbatteries.com

Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries from Cameron Sino Technologies have a limited lifespan and will gradually lose their ability to hold a charge. This natural process, known as aging, is irreversible. As the battery ages, its runtime—the amount of time it can power a device—will steadily decrease.

These batteries also self-discharge slowly when not in use or while in storage. To maintain performance, check the battery’s charge level regularly. Your device’s user manual should provide instructions for checking battery status and charging procedures. For the latest manuals, visit your product manufacturer’s website.

Important: Always use batteries recommended by Canadianbatteries.com for safe and reliable performance.

Battery Maintenance Guidelines

  • Record the runtime of a new, fully charged battery for future comparison.
  • Regularly check the charge level of your battery.
  • Monitor batteries nearing the end of their useful life.
  • Replace the battery if:
    • The runtime drops below 80% of the original runtime.
    • The battery takes significantly longer to charge.
  • If storing for a long time, follow the storage instructions below. Do not use or recharge a battery that has become fully discharged during storage—replace it instead.

Charging Instructions

Follow the product-specific charging guidelines in your user manual. For dual battery setups, test one battery and slot at a time—one defective battery may prevent the other from charging.

Storage Tips

  • If your battery is brand new, fully charge it as soon as you receive it. Due to transport regulations, it will only be charged to a maximum of 20% on arrival.
  • A battery left unused for extended periods may lose the ability to accept a charge, which will void the warranty as it is considered neglect.
  • Charge or discharge the battery to about 50% before storing.
  • Recharge the battery to 50% at least once every three to four months.
  • Store the battery separately from the device.
  • Ideal storage temperature: 5°C to 20°C (41°F to 68°F).

Note: Batteries self-discharge in storage. High temperatures (above 20°C/68°F) can reduce battery life.

Handling Precautions

  • Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture the battery.
  • Do not short circuit the terminals.
  • Never dispose of batteries in fire or water.
  • Do not expose batteries to temperatures over 60°C (140°F).
  • Keep batteries away from children.
  • Avoid shock, impact, or vibration.
  • Do not use damaged batteries.
  • If fluids are leaking, do not touch them. Follow safe disposal instructions.
  • In case of eye contact with fluid, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and seek medical help.

Transportation

  • Follow local, national, and international rules when transporting Lithium-Ion batteries.
  • Transport of damaged or recalled batteries may be restricted or prohibited.

Disposal and Recycling

  • Dispose of Lithium-Ion batteries according to your local laws and recycling regulations.
  • In the U.S. and Canada, visit www.rbrc.org for recycling information.
  • Do not discard batteries in household trash.
  • Place only discharged batteries in battery collection containers.
  • Cover terminals with tape to prevent short circuits during storage or transport.

Care information

Some Useful Battery Information
Please read this before using your new battery!

Cordless phone batteries, Cell phones, PDAs, Power Tool Batteries, and all devices with the chemistries below

These types of batteries can be NIMH, NiCad, or Lithium Ion all these three chemistries have similar properties when looking after them.
Initial charge- all three types of batteries should be fully charged overnight on receipt.

Charges 2-6- it is very important to fully charge the battery on receipt and then use the battery until the device says low battery. There is no need to force a discharge just use the device as normal until the battery runs down to about 20% of its charge. The important thing about these 2-6 conditioning cycles is that you do not top up the battery until it reaches about 20% of its charge. Do not let the battery run flat, especially on the first 3-4 cycles.

After conditioning- the best course of action to lengthen the life of these types of batteries is to only replace the device on the charger when the device needs charging. All three chemistries of batteries can be cycled around 500 times if the device was placed on the charger once every day after one use the battery would last approx 500 days if placed on the charger twice a day after use the battery would last approx 250 days. A battery does not half cycle so even if the battery was 80% charged a full cycle will be used when it is placed on charge.

SLA Batteries
This type of chemistry does not need conditioning the battery can be cycled around 300-400 times, although the battery is best used heavily at the top end of its charge. This battery should be topped up and not used till flat.
The average life of an SLA battery is 2-3 years depending on use and care.

Laptop Batteries
Most laptop batteries today use Lithium Ion Technology. The recommended care is slightly different from that above.
Initial charge- The battery should be fully charged overnight on receipt.

Charges 2-6- it is very important to fully charge the battery and then use the battery until the device is discharged to only about 20% of its charge. Do not let the battery drain down completely or the charging circuit in the laptop may not detect a good battery. This is especially important in the first 5 cycles. There is no need to force a discharge just use the device as normal until the battery runs down. The important thing about these 2-6 conditioning cycles is that you do not top up the battery until it reaches 20% of its charge.

After conditioning- the best course of action to lengthen the life of these types of batteries is more difficult to ascertain the main problem is that if you are constantly plugging in and out of the mains adaptor the battery life will be reduced significantly. .The best thing to do is to make sure that you fully cycle the battery and let it run low at least once a month. Lithium batteries need to be exercised to maintain their usability.

All About Our Paid Shipping Services

Canadianbatteries.com offers a wide variety of shipping methods through Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, Canpar, and Purolator. It's up to you to select the method best suited to your time scale and budget. Some shipping methods are not available for certain products.

Shipping costs are automatically calculated by our intelligent shipping estimation program based on the weight, distance to the destination, and the shipping service. To obtain your shipping cost, add the desired items to your shopping cart, proceed to checkout, and enter your postal code. Here you will be shown the available shipping methods, expected transit times, and the estimated delivery date with pricing.

It's important to understand that in-transit times and delivery dates are the best estimates provided by the respective carriers. Once we hand off the package to the carriers, responsibility for carrier or weather-related delays is passed to them. Transit times should be calculated only on business days and do not include weekends and holidays. Depending on product availability, this may postpone the actual shipping dates.

We endeavor to ship most orders by the next business day, but certain products, including sealed lead acid, may take longer. If there is a delay longer than five days, we will notify you. We can only ship to PO Boxes with Canada Post; FedEx and all our other services cannot deliver to post office boxes. We will require at least one business day for order processing.

Domestic Shipping Services Offered Through UPS, FedEx & Canada Post:

Canada Post

  • Expedited: For many orders, this will be the cheapest solution (especially low-value lighter orders). Orders can be delivered to a Post Office Box. 1-10 business days transit depending on location.
  • International (USA): We can ship NiMH, Alkaline, Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States, but we are unable to ship lithium batteries to the USA by the postal service. You would need to select FedEx for this chemistry.

FedEx

  • FedEx Ground: This method is the fastest for shipping lithium metal batteries and is usually more economical for heavier shipments. We can ship all battery chemistries via this service.
  • International (USA): We can ship Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer, NiMH, Alkaline, Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States, but we are unable to ship lithium metal batteries to the USA by air. You would need to select FedEx Ground for this chemistry.

UPS

  • International (USA): We can ship Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer, NiMH, Alkaline, Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States, but we are unable to ship lithium metal batteries to the USA by air.

Purolator

  • Purolator Ground: This method is the fastest for shipping lithium metal batteries and is usually more economical for heavier shipments. We can ship all battery chemistries via this service.
  • Purolator International (USA): We can ship Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer, NiMH, Alkaline, Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States, but we are unable to ship lithium metal batteries to the USA by air.

Canpar

  • Canpar Ground: This method is the fastest for shipping lithium metal batteries and is usually more economical for heavier shipments. We can ship all battery chemistries via this service.

Customs and Import Duties

  • Your order may be subject to retail sales tax, import duties, and/or taxes, which may be applied by your country when your package arrives.
  • Canadianbatteries.com ships your package duties and taxes unpaid. We do not collect these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you incur these additional charges, they must be paid for your package to clear customs.
  • For more information regarding your country's customs policies, please contact your local customs office.

Acceptance of Incorrect Addressing Order Policy

A confirmation email is sent to you once your order is placed. Please check that the address details provided in this email are correct within 30 minutes of placing the order and notify us of any errors. If no corrections are made within this time, we will consider your order placed with the correct address. Should an incorrect address be entered, and the shipment is returned by the carrier, the cost of the shipment and the return cost will be covered by you, the purchaser. These costs may be deducted from any refund if you cancel the order or choose to have it reshipped. This applies even if your order was placed via PayPal Express Checkout; it is your responsibility to confirm that the address is correct, including orders placed over the telephone.

Currency Selection and Product Availability

We are based in Ontario, Canada. You can choose to see prices in Canadian Dollars or USD. Select your preferred currency; C$ is shown when CAD is selected. We hold a vast inventory of products, but some products with limited shelf life are held in smaller quantities. Occasionally, your order may overlap with stock rotation, which may delay your order. If this occurs, we will notify you immediately with the expected arrival date. If you can't wait, respond to the email, and we will refund your order and notify you when the new stock arrives.

To see your shipping charge, add the quantity of the product to your shopping cart, then enter your postal code on the next screen. A list of shipping services from Canada Post and FedEx will be shown with prices and estimated delivery dates. Please note these are only estimated dates, not guaranteed.

No need to create an account at this stage, but once logged in, the shipping quotation system will also calculate the taxes.
